Personally what I really miss is, as other have previously said, some attempts to show all those annoying off-screen transformations you were thinking of. Yes, the non-bear-TF of Queen Ellinor made me angry, even considering that there are kids watching the movie... c'mon, Gargoyles was supposedly for kids also, and we had some fantastic stuff from there.

Which is a shame because the lead-in to that TF is awesome! I love all the groaning, woozyness, pain, and discomfort that precedes a TF.

Yeah, that build up coupled with the torn dress that was left behind and the nude revert, all it was missing was the actual on screen TF.

Well, now I should officially work on getting enough money to call up Arania for a Elinor/Merida TF.

Jasmine gets a lot of TF attention but i'd like to see Mulan or maybe Belle. Especially the latter, like what if the roles were reversed and she was the beast?
