She-Bat (Batman, New 52 universe)

I didn't see this on any other thread soooo. Yeah.
I honestly have not been up to date with comics of the DC universe since... 10-15 years ago I think. But apparently in the current "New 52" universe of the Batman comics, the She-Bat has made its appearance, aka: Francine Langstorm, whom most people remember for "THAT" episode of the amazing Batman: The Animated Series ( http://youtu.be/B6zyfUfFso0 ).

Only in this version, she seems to be actually addicted to the "Man Bat" formula (she luvs it!), having made a version of her own with vampire bat genes, and is now a recurrent villain in the comics while the male Man Bat acts like some kind of anti-hero opposing her.

I dunno, at least thats what I remember reading on a wiki page. But hey. Pics.

(Last pic link is probably the one you people will be interested on :P )

So yeah. I do not own the comics, these are just preview pages I found. Anyone who does read/collect these know if there are any more TF goodies in that comic series?

Sad the comic doesn't show the TF but the revert looks pretty nice.

On a related note, back during Rotworld Babs shot herself up with the man bat serum in order to survive the zombie invasion. She's only shown transformed in like two pages, though.

Well, Batgirl sure knows how to survive a zombie outbreak, lets hope more girls learn from her.

So sadly there isn't any process really except for a single panel then she's a bat. Well probably see more of this as it seems this will be a continuous sub story arc that sorta ties in with the detective comics story arc that this is all from. So I'd keep an eye on it.

Re: She-Bat (Batman, New 52 universe)

Just thought I'd mention something else I've been researching recently: One of Wonder Woman's villains, and her main non-greek villain post-nu52, is Cheeta, a homicidal woman imbued with the power of a hunter god. The first two versions of Cheeta were just women in costumes, but the current one is a full on cat-girl. Around the year 2000 another god gave her the ability to magically disguise herself as human, and a little time after that she gained the ability to actually change between human and cat at will. I haven't found any on-panel changes yet, though.

In the Nu52 she's ditched her human persona entirely, so that's unlikely to come up again.

Sounds soooo close to the tigra story line, man how the dc and marvel universe parallel each other sometimes

I kinda liked it when she was just a bystander caught up in the craziness that is Gotham City. That being said, the pages were quite nice. Thank you for sharing. :)

Now I am kinda wanting to see a take on the man-bat/she-bat for the Batman "Arkham" videogames...

And yeah, there's Cheetah, Wolfsbane, Tigra, heck even Squirrel Girl, and some other "TF Potential" characters in the Marvel/DC universes, but alas, again, I have been pretty absent from comics since the last decade so I am not sure what their "current situation" is :(

Just imagine how much of the manga/anime remains undiscovered.
