A Chinese Mystery?
Hi there,
Browsing dA recently, I happened by accident upon an intersting account by a dA member in her journal which might interest some users here, though it may take a little explanation. The essence of the mystery is that a dA user discovered a Chinese? show on TV. The episode she watched concerned a girl, overweight, who discovered a old, secret potion which would grant her a slim body. This works, but is unstable, with her transforming between fat and thin. This causes all kinds of problems as she tries to negotiate the world between her fat and thin persona's. The full journal is here http://shehulk21.deviantart.com/jour...4735/#comments with all the details. The mystery comes from the unfortunate fact that the dA user could not discover the name of the show, episode or other details. What was discovered about the show's identity is in the journal for the curious, though I bring it here in case anyone may have enconutered or heard of it, among our membership  . Thanks, Alchemical Night. |

Re: A Chinese Mystery?
All I have to say is whoever find this Chinese drama/movie will get ALL the props in the world. I've been posting stuff about it in other forums and no luck. I think posting here we probably have better luck. Let's hope. :)

Re: A Chinese Mystery?
I'm on this.
The latest update is such that we can no longer rely on "Chinese" as a definite descriptor of this movie since the OP from DA does not actually speak or read Chinese. It is some non-disclosed Asian Pacific country. We have an airtime but no channel. It aired on 2/23/10 and ended at 11PM China time. I've asked him some more questions on DA to help narrow it down. |
Re: A Chinese Mystery?
Isn't this a fat white nerdy guy who play acts he's changing into She Hulk?
|
Re: A Chinese Mystery?
Well....yes.
But this is about some potentially cool process material. Granted, his credibility maybe somewhat...questionable, but I think we should make an effort to try and find this thing for at least a little while. |
Re: A Chinese Mystery?
Ok I've Found the Channel. It's TDM macau. Now we have to find the schedule of programs or contact the channel ^^

I've tried looking up the schedule from the date of the post

Re: A Chinese Mystery?
I've gotten to that page before. If it's any one of those, it'll be the program simply titled "SD" at 22:00 on 2-23. It fits with the time the movie was reportedly watched. It could stand for "standard definition," especially since it's in Western characters. I've tried to email the station and ask what it is with no response. Perhaps if we spam them they will respond to one of us?

Re: A Chinese Mystery?
Okay, here are all the addresses listed
dipp@tdm.com.mo inf@tdm.com.mo prog@tdm.com.mo Dude, I have truly spent an inordinate amount of time searching for this movie. I'm talking on the scale of several hours. We need to explore the possibility that this is the wrong station, too. This guy who saw it sounds like an idiot, honestly, and he DOES pretend to be She-Hulk (read:female). I even messaged him to ask if he was really for real about this movie and that I wouldn't tell if he wasn't and he said yes, it's really real. After exploring this station, I want to go back to the drawing board on stuff that even an idiot like him could remember. For example, he stayed at this hotel in Australia's Gold Coast called Holiday Inn Surfer's Paradise. If you google it, it'll take you to the very site, and they say they offer free Foxtel, which is a satellite TV provider over in Aussie land. Under Foxtel are different satellites, but I wouldn't go on his guess that it's "Intelsat or Indosat" satellites because, again, how the hell does he know what physical satellites are bringing this hotel the channels. The provider, however, is a solid clue. The problem is when I research it I get mixed results. Going to the Foxtel main site and looking through channels is useless because nothing sticks out. But then if you google "Foxtel" and "Chinese channels" you get quite a different site that has -surprise- two Chinese channels. Mr. SheHulk said the movie was broadcasted from a terrestrial channel. I think we can trust this, as opposed to it being some movie channel. I've posed this question on Yahoo Answers but only got references to 200 lb Beauty which this is not. I also managed to find the movies My DNA Says I Love You and Double Fatness or something but they are also not this. Good luck. This prick certainly isn't doing us anymore favors in the way of recalling new information or trying to search himself. |
Re: A Chinese Mystery?
search for Asian comedy, romance and drama movies is about the best thing you can do, maybe even fantasy and made for tv movies. I will post later today with some for details when i get the time .

Re: A Chinese Mystery?
in his defence i think that many movies with specific contents doesn't pop out easily. Moon princess (GTS content), Sword of many lovers (inflation content) and others are examples. Probably many asian movies are unknown in other countries, like amatorial movies, tv movies etc.
we have to find the exact terms for body inflation, weight gain etc in chinese, japanese or korean and hope we could find that in some site :( |
Re: A Chinese Mystery?
its weight gain full body revert from slim to fat again
