Man this is the stuff of nightmares... I always wanted to watch The Thing, never did... is it possible to get anywhere? Is there any "remade crappy version" I should be aware of?

Woah, seriously? How did you get through life without watching one of the greatest sci-fi horrors ever made?

The original and the prequel are both called 'The Thing'. Look out for the version with Kurt Russel, that's the original. Once you've seen that you should give the other one a go. It's not as good, but it's still worth checking out for the backstory.

Those are the only 3 I found with process. The others are just a character in human form one moment then a huge mass of flesh the next.
