Morrowind/Oblivion perform total computer rape. They will eat what you offer them and beg for more.
That being said, worked fairly well on my old 3600+ w/ 1 gig of RAM and an x1600 w/ 512 of RAM. I've since bumped up to a dual core 4000+ processor.
Since your processor is right there at the cusp of the minimum requirements, you may experience some points where the game just stops and has to load everything. Not sure if you've encountered that phenomina with games before. Otherwise, all you can do is try.
Oh, and somebody remarked that a dual-core processor = two 1.8 GHz processors? Heh... no. Doesn't work that way, I'm afraid. You're assuming that the motherboard supports dual-processing, that the operating system supports dual processors, and the age old 2+2=4. Sadly, in computers, 2+2=5 for exceptionally large values of 2. Math isn't always pretty when it comes to PCs.
