A friend of a friend of mine had this to say about fanfiction:

"Fanfiction is mental masturbation." There's two types of fanfiction, though: fanfics for the sake of fulfilling a desire, and fanfics for the sake of spinning the universe in weird ways and seeing how characters will react. I personally follow the latter's ideals, especially with the humor Eva fanfic I'm currently working on *insert shameless horn-tooting to rope in more readers to be addicted to it*.

I personally look forward to seeing this series played out. Shinji as a girl is always a plus in my book. And Misato getting all involved with yummy yuri makes it all the more desirable. The wait for this will be worth it all.
