I'm sorry to hear that you were banned from GC. The underage policy is very strict when it comes to established characters, and not everyone on our staff knows Cowboy Bebop canon well enough to be able to look at that image and know that you are clearly not using the character directly from the show. They see your images, your persona, and the fact that radical Edward is a 13 year old girl and they will ban you. Not for your avatar, but for the fact that you are (or were) playing the role of the character, adopting her mannerisms in your speech. I dunno if you actively role played as Edward, but that sort of behavior (and playing an underage character in any sense) is frowned upon, and the hammer is being brought hard on these matters at the moment.

I cannot imagine why your second account was banned, but I'm only just now catching up with a week full of posts and goodness. I will get to the bottom of this and get your IP ban removed if you haven't done anything outrageous, but I would not recommend testing the underage policy again in the future. It may take a day or two to contact and chat with the administrators who did it, so please be patient.*

Again I am sorry for the inconvenience and I hope this has not soured you from GC, but I can understand if it has.

For the record, indeed Alice and most of her incarnations are no longer allowed on GC (the exception being any story similar to Alice in Wonderland featuring a clearly matured protagonist). It's a shame that it has come to that, but we must remove all material presenting underage characters to adhere to the rule and make sure everyone and every post is treated fairly. It would be hypocritical and defeating the principle of the rule to only remove user created content, and it would be a subjective nightmare to only remove what certain people "judged" be be inappropriate. I hope you can understand why the rule is what it is.

*UPDATE: Sorry to disappoint, but according to the admin that banned you, you posted the images that were removed again on your new account, which is why they thought more serious action was necessary. Indeed you were welcome to make a new account and carry on at GC, but knowingly posting images that were removed for violating the underage policy is sort of spitting in the face of the rules and the admin that let you back.

I suppose you might have thought that you were banned for your account and persona and not for the offending images. If that's the case I might be able to negotiate, but I hope you realize the position you put yourself in trying to post those images a second time.
