I have also noticed an "hourglass trend". It seems that when it comes to expansion, that is the current prefered method. Either that or it just happens to be where I'm looking.

Possibly a bit of both, really.
Heh, kinda funny to remember back in the day when I was about the only person who really pushed for the whole hourglass "hourgas" thing. At the time it was all either BE or full body roundness. Me, I just had to try writing stuff or purchasing art that involved totally curved out shapes.
