Wow, I'm suprised to see other people know what I'm talking about. Usually when I remember these things they're so obescure I'm the only one who seems to have heard of them.
Speaking of, let me throw out another one- anyone ever heard of Maxie's World, an old Barbie wannabe? CITV here used to air it alongside Power Rangers (trends for holidays used to be one show for girls and one show for boys). In one ep, one of her friends is tricked into believing she's obese when she's not. She has a nightmare where the her she now sees herself as tries to get a place on an excercise show. After the host tells her no with a bunch of insults she instead suggests another production she could be part of. Turns out the instructor knows a movie director who's making a film about a giant woman on an eating rampage and the scene cuts to them filming that on a model city.
