If that's what needs to happen for the REAL questions to be answered, then I say "go for it". I just find it disheartening that "everyone" seems to believe that international copyright law overrides domestic copyright law, yet "they" don't bother to provide examples that don't trace back to domestic violations. If hundreds of users are legally in the wrong here, is it really such a bad idea to prove it? Would the community implode if proper guidelines were brought into compliance?

That's STILL domestic piracy, and I'm not going to lie and say that I haven't been down that particular road a few hundred times.

Hai, I'm the Sony EULA. Plz ignore XCP bcuz we noe wut's best 4 u. KTHXBAI!
My point remains - this is the same kind of attitude that kept Linux down and Mac out of the marketplace, because gods only know how Wintel is the only option out there. Open your mind a bit - cracking proprietary encryption on a domestic product
isn't piracy in and of itself, though it "violates" the DMCA (though even that has an established loophole that's big enough to drive a university research department through).

Domestic piracy. International material. Does international copyright control, and if so, how?

Honestly, I just find it to be a bit much when people freak out over anything longer than a thirty-second trailer. What's wrong with people having a better idea of what they're purchasing, assuming they're not just swiping the whole flick?

Technically, that material is tolerated, because it generally promotes good press coverage. Technically, anything you create in that "world" constitutes derivative works, though that can - and does - vary by jurisdiction.

...and few of those are as quality as Taylor's material. Honestly, it's all fine and good to pick on EC for supplying international material to a domestic market in violation of its copyright, but ask yourself this - would we even
know about half the items were it not for his efforts and samples? Some of those artists are so protective of their "art" that they won't allow previews on their own sites, so should we just blindly trust that our purchases won't wind up with shitting dick-nipples all over the screen? That's the extreme opposite, but don't think it doesn't happen.
