If you're using Windows XP (not sure if this carried over to Vista/7 yet), you can just toss the images in a new folder, right-click that folder, and select "Send To > Compressed Folder". If not, installing
7-zip, right-clicking the folder, and selecting "7-zip > (I think it's "Create Archive" off the top of my head)" will do the same thing. As for uploading the resulting file, it can be tossed up on any DropBox-style site (MegaUpload, HotFile, RapidShare all come to mind) with a minimum of effort. If you want to post it directly to this site, you can always click the little paperclip icon above the message field, find the zipfile, and click "Upload".
Of course, if you're using a cellular for posting, this won't necessarily apply. Feel free to post back (or PM me) if you're having further trouble. I'd love to see this set posted.

No it's not. Either you're thinking of 7-zip (which IS free), or Compressed Folders (which is built into XP, though I'm not sure about later editions).
