Okay, I know it's just the first episode, but....it seemed rather predictable in some respects. Not saying I think it's all lame, just that the way Ruby gets accepted seems...overdone. My biggest beef is that Ruby reminds me of several heroes/heroines in other series with her innocence and idealistic giddiness of becoming a Huntress. I know it works to get a series going, and is something teens and young adults can relate to...but it's been done. Blah, I'm just a bit tired of such protagonists, personally.
All in all I still look forward to seeing more and think it still has potential.
I'm predicting Blake's gonna be the proverbial Dinobot of the series what with her shady past (no pun intended). Blake will turn-coat at least ONCE in the series and is gonna have the hardest time gaining most folks' trust (though I'm guessing Ruby will still trust her, blah blah blah).
