I think for a project like this, getting as much funding as it has is reason to celebrate. This isn't exactly a mainstream game being made by industry professionals with classic titles under their belts. This is more proving the capability to make something to begin with, and then this can be pointed to as credibility ammo when doing fundraising for, say, the BE God RPG.
This thing was going to be a humble beginning from the start, and that's okay. It's how I see it, at least.
