Re: Under The General's Command (Work in Progress)
Thanks for that. I cleaned those passages that you mentioned so that they make more sense now.
Wilson has been undergoing some changes of his own, they're just taking him down a very different path than Larry. I think that my wording was a bit poor in that section as the point I was trying to get across was that Larry's changes occurred in a very short span of time. Not quite a blink of an eye, but no longer than two or three seconds. I could have had a speck of dust fall in Wilson's eye, but that would have just been silly and it wouldn't fit into the goals of the transformations.
Depending on your views towards such things, the following may or may not be considered spoilers
The transformations that each of the three young men are going through reflect on themselves. Larry and Wilson are used to being at the center of attention and getting exactly what they want, so their transformations are quick but subdued, taking advantage of any lapse in concentration in order to change them. Otherwise they'd presumably freak out over what's happening to them, as they would have no idea how to turn this situation to their advantage. Their transformation is subtle because it tricks them into accepting what is happening to them as the norm
Ferris, on the other hand, has been overlooked and taken advantage of for most of his life, being forced to do things that he doesn't want. While he isn't naive, he isn't fully cognizant of his submissiveness for reasons that will be touched upon later in the text. Suffice to say his transformation is the most violent of the three and occurs in ways that will force him to be fully aware of what is happening to him because as it wants him to reject it, even if the act would be solely a symbolic one.
End of insignificant spoilers
And no, it's not based on a video game. At least not directly. It makes sense in the context, but to reveal the context would consist of spoilers. That's all I'm going to say on that matter for the time being.
Also, the secret prize I mentioned is still up for grabs. If you or anyone else wants it, guess away.
