Wow. Talk about ancient history. I had completely forgotten about that story, even though I wrote it! I had to search for it online to remind myself - I only dimly remember even writing it. So, to answer your question, no - the new video was not based on "An Overly Hasty Demonstration." I wrote an entirely new story for the commission of this growth video. Darn it! If I had only remembered that old story I might have saved myself some work! But, there are certainly a lot of thematic similarities even though I wrote a new story for this video
