For me the point when the show started to go downhill was the scene of Erin's transformation during the previous season. I mean, it was good even though it was also very brief (but I prefer that brief performance of Lydia Doesburg aching of pain over the plain acting of Ms Vandervoort), but when the "wolf" Nora did THAT thing to "wolf" Erin, I was absoutely sure that the age of the werewolf had came to an end, followed by the "age of the spiritual-lame-shapeshifters-ala-american-native" that seems to be so popular amongst american writers (whore roots are NOT indian native at all, ironically).
After that moment the show has begun to experiment with werewolf stuff that is not really scary... they got the wolf, but lost the monster in the process. The last insult, but this for us only, is that they have still spent some money in showing the werewolf for so unnecessarily long time, and forgetting about the werewolf TF that, from my point of view, is expensive but cheaper than having a digital werewolf wandering in a cage for minutes and minutes.
