Me to Donkey

I didn't want to, but I had no choice… *gulp*

It tasted terrible and I threw the vial away. I was alone and wondered how long I would have to wait, then it hit me. I got hot, I was nauseous, I was disoriented, I was scared; it was happening. I nervously tugged at my shirt before deciding to completely disrobe. I stood naked in the room, dizzy, nauseous, the room spinning, my body aching. My mind flickered like a bad light, human memories, emotions, and thoughts-even recent ones-seemingly in the process of being written over. I felt like I was about to vomit and I reflexively opened my mouth and belched but all that left my lips was a bestial sound: HEE-HAW!

In shock, I covered my mouth in a panic. "No," I said, "I don't want toooo-HAW!" It happened again. My mind was a patchwork of images: donkeys, grass, jennies, flies, run…. things jackasses think of.

HEE HAW!

I felt something above my butt. In my haze, I began to push and I felt it elongate, snaking its way between my butt cheeks, down, the hair tickling my skin as it grew longer and the muscles began to respond to my nervous twitches, swaying it back and forth. I had a tail.

HEE HAW! HEE HAW!!

I couldn't speak anymore. Every time I tried, I just heed and hawed. My ears tickled; I felt them stretch, pulling against my hair as they lengthened and grew full. I reached up and ran my fingers along their length. I grabbed one and pulled.

HEE HAW!!

I yelped in pain. I could move them. My mind was awash in new body parts to move, my furry tail tickling by butt and legs as it swished, my ears moving my hair as they seemed to involuntarily move side to side. I kept seeing the same images as before, donkeys, jennies, grass… only now more frequent and instead of eliciting disgust, they soothed my panicked mind.

My hands began to spasm and crack. I grunted and watched as my fingers began to recede and my hand distort. My middle fingers thickened, the nail expanding and turning black. I fell backwards onto my rear and held my hands up as they morphed into hooves. My feet began to spasm and they too met the same fate, my middle-most toe growing and the rest cracking and resorbing. I felt itchy on my face and back as I felt fur begin to grow. Down the middle of my back, a thick mane forced its way out. I looked at my new hooves and wanted to beg no but I couldn't… words didn't work and they were starting to have less meaning.

HEE HAW! HEE HAW! HEE HAW!!

It started to feel natural and I started to enjoy it. I couldn't stop braying. I just let it out.

HEE HAW! HEE HAW! HEE HAW!! HEE HAW! HEE HAW! HEE HAW!!

The pain in my shoulders caused me rotate and flex them, but they moved. They were rotating forward. My arms felt stiff. I squeezed my eyes tight and tears rolled out as the bones physically moved under my skin. I reared up on my knees, my arms spasming and stiffening as my shoulder blades migrated to the sides of my chest. When it ended, I fell forward into my new hooves, my butt straight up in air. I would never again walk upright. It was an uneven position, my arms still in their human proportions relative to my legs. My hips cracked and began to rotate, my legs stiffening. I grimaced again, squeezing my eyes shut as the bones moved to the side. I felt compelled to push and with two shakes both let out a loud pop and the pain was gone.

My mind kept trying to fight it, trying to stay focused, but the donkey was winning and at this point I wanted it to. I sobbed and brayed and with every bray I continued to lose myself.

HEE HAW!! HEE HAW! HEE HAW! HEE HAW!!

I felt a mass between my legs and peered underneath. My manhood was growing and morphing. My testicles hung large and my penis attached to my belly. I flexed my jaw as my teeth seemed to get massive. I had buck teeth now. My arms began to stretch the bones cracking as I felt my upper torso slowing being lifted off the ground. The pressure on my back eased as I was finally in a more quadrupedal stance. I took a step, uneasily testing my new limbs. And another step. I somehow knew how to move. My butt tingled as hair began to grow. The wave of fur growth moved up my body.

HEE HAW!! HEE HAW! HEE HAW! HEE HAW!! HEE HAW!!

I brayed with excitement. Suddenly I felt my belly expanding, my still-human-muscled limbs growing weak as my bulk increased. They bowed, but they too soon bulked. I was adding mass and growing larger, my rips cracking and my chest expanding, my neck pushing out and adding muscle. From the look of things, I must have been ridiculous, all I had was a human face. I was starting to enjoy it, much to the last remaining human shred in my mind. I brayed in triumph

HEE HAW!! HEE HAW!!

I stopped suddenly as my face began to spasm and pulsate. It grew out, my nose flaring, my muzzle lengthening. I closed my human eyes one last time as my skull cracked and stretched. The re-shaping of my skull seemed to eliminate brain space and as that space dwindled the human that I was faded away… all the knowledge that I acquired; words didn't matter or have meaning anymore. I opened the dark eyes of a jackass to see the world around me. I was a donkey.
