And I'll keep the changes in mind. I came up with it and wrote it all in about ... 7 hours? With later editing so it was meant to be a quick story and it worked well with Theseus in this case but I know what you mean about being a different person since Theseus is such a major figure but he's well known in the myth.
And I appreciate the thoughts on it being more well received here. I'm a little surprised it isn't, honestly. It's a pretty popular story on the rest of the sites I post to.
