Guys, it's fantasy.
Don't take these things too seriously. We have all sorts of transformation involving people changing into different species, hulking monstrosities, multi-headed creatures and pretty much whatever someone can imagine.
I don't think a tail growing between the buttocks should be the biggest WTF when you have girls changing into 10-feet tall, musclebound werehorses or werewolves.
