Minus the sexuality, it worked for Bill Watterson with Calvin's parents. Though that did necessitate Uncle Max being axed.
Here's my answer for Question 12:

Please consider taking a break from the themes of rivaling sisters (included but not limited to Lauren and Betsy), as well as rival women competing for the same man (including but not limited to Suzy and Marylin). These themes were great for their long runs but have become regrettably stale and repetitive. Their themes have been used to their fullest and there is little more that can be done with each that is fresh and new.
In the future, do consider other story themes and casts, such as a new series in itself like with what was done with Yard Work. There are plenty of other themes in AR/AP alone as well in SW/GTS that you have not used or truly capitalized on that are beloved by their fanbases.
Personally, I would like to see more AR of couples that stops at teenage years for one while the other is still more mature physically in an odd-couple theme (equally interested in a younger male X older female and vise versa) with slight mental regression for the younger one based on their new physical age. Another personal wish is that of future or parallel modern worlds with size or age change being a form of cosmetic alteration akin to getting breast implants or hair-replacement in balding men (the methods of the cosmetic transformations need not be surgical themselves).
