1. Kill alot and I mean ALOT of enemies to lvl up your weapon. A spirit stone does wonders if you can by one. Try to get your weapon to 15 by the end of chapter 1 of each story.
2. Plant every seed you can get till your hp lvl is at least 15. When you get a chance to go to the village to eat, use it to jump your hp to insane lvls.
3. Dont rush into battle, this is all about skill. You know well in a real fight, a person couldnt wail on 10 guys without pain so do the same here, take them one at a time.

1: Uhoh... Im on chapter 3 of Valkerie and my weapons not 15 yet :P
2: been doing that, HP is still low, cause some of the berries arent worth planting cause of the low XP
3: Easier said when done when your rewards for the fight are based on time and the enemy always groups up and beats you to death
