Here is sorta a weird one. A newly airing anime this season
https://myanimelist.net/anime/51693/ at the end of Episode 1 a goddess was summoned showed up and used her magic to swallow up a bunch of enemy soldiers (like the guy in pic 1). At the end of Episode 2 she released all the soldiers who were swallowed up, except the guy seems noticeably different (as seen in pic 2 and 3).
