"Mary Murderer" upload date?
Hey, folks. Remember this?
I've been trying to do research on when I first uploaded and/or released "Mary Murderer", my very first TG animation, to The Siren Song, but I'm coming up empty. I know it was before 2004, but I don't remember beyond that. Any oldsters in the crowd, can you let me know? If you don't want to reveal your age, you can PM me and I'll keep your secret safe. Thank you! |

Yes Daniel about 2000 and one of my favorite sites I even have one of the dvd's you guys sold back then. To me you three were the three kings of tg and tf back then. Mako does them once it a great while. Now one of my favorites How I Met Your Mother a take off on Scooby do .

My video file says April 12, 2003. I have copies of a lot of that old stuff.

Ranmakun: Is that the upload date or when you downloaded a copy?

It's the date modified in the file name, the date created was in 2007 which isn't correct. This was from the gynomorph vol. 1 dvd Mako sent me. I was doing a lot of the encodes for Mako at the time. The other ones have the same date, so maybe that's the DVD creation day?

Yeah, the DVD creation day might be more accurate since I know I created "Mary Murderer" long before the DVD. I'm thinking 2000 mentioned by wizardfromy might be correct.

There's unfortunately a gap in what Archive.org captured but I don't see you listed on that site in 2001. Would 2002-2003 narrow it down?

"TGAliens" was actually my very first animation--and I forgot about it until now. I remember now how unbelievably terrible it was. I used a voice line from Star Trek 4. Slightly edited, I had Kirk say, "I've come back in time to bring [you] with me in an attempt to repopulate the species." Then I ran that clumsily edited voice line through a very bad audio filter that I thought sounded like an alien speaking, but just succeeded in sounding almost unintelligble. Then I had the "voice" come from a cube with a torus attached to it (It's a speaker, okay?!), and a figure that barely moved turned from (ahem) "male" to (ahem-hem) "female". It was worse than horrible. But it was my first attempt. And it does answer the question I wanted to know: 12/2001 was when I first uploaded something TG related to the Internet. Thank you! You inspired me way back then and you continue to inspire me today, MsMako! Thank you! Last edited by danielsangeo; 11-17-2018 at 12:14 AM. |

Re: "Mary Murderer" upload date?
Indeed!
All of your work, collectively and separately, was really fantastic. You were all pioneers in creating and posting amazing TG/TF images, sequences and animations. I found your work before you launched Siren Song but I'm trying to remember where. I think it was a forum or somewhere but I'm old and feeble minded 🙄 I wish I'd gotten one of those DVD's. A belated thank you for sharing your work and providing a fantastic platform for all the others together. I hope you are doing well and your transition has been everything you needed to find happiness. |
