Mako's Collection: She Blinded Me With Science

Hey everyone,
Just another TF TG comic video I posted earlier. A bit more light hearted than my usual fair. Enjoy!

Cheers
Mako

Very nice - still wish you would do your comics as comics - it is really hard to see the wonderful artwork. And you did say at once stage you would release them.... but that has never happened.

But either way - lovely at and fun story again - I do like what you are getting done, nice lovely comics and stories

I am just dying for the day I can read them in pdf or something like that.... even if you sell them.

You captured their mother perfectly - she'd be totally oblivious to all this.

There's something about this I don't like...I honestly don't know what. Just a feeling.

Though on the whole I think it's neat. I liked the inflation sounds during the transformation, and the art did a pretty good job at staying close to the original style.

Nah that happens all the time in TGs. That doesn't bug me.

Agreed! There's something missing in the enjoyment factor of the story in the way Mako does the video cuts.

I'd like having the still images too, but I guess there's nothing inherently bad about the videos. They're just pretty slow. If they were snappier and had quicker editing, I'd be okay without pdfs.

Like, a lot of times when watching the videos I just think "...yeah, I got it. I understand the shot...okay, still goi-ah there it is."

On a much more nitpicky note: always have an image pan in a way that shows speech from the topleft down, never start from the bottom and scroll up unless we can see the entire speech balloon at the start of the pan.

See, on a purely stylistic level, I can understand that; but, from a technical standpoint, doesn't the good ol' zoom/pan wreck the reveal by showing it before sufficient tension is built?

That's what I didn't like. It's more of a personal taste really, but identity death is very unappealing to me. I think it'd be more interesting to see how Dexter fares with his new form, but again, everyone has their own taste.

What IS appealing is the beautiful visuals; the linework is Dexter's Lab to perfection. Not to mention that Dexy is totally hot.

Thanx Goose I actually don't see this as identity death (cause I normally don't like it myself). I just see it as Dexter's brain closing some doors in his mind that don't allow him to be as smart as he was. Perhaps the ambiguity can often lead people to take it one way or the other.

Cheers!
