It looks like many of the same people - as well as the same 'gags' like the pony tail appearing out of nowhere. Did they use the original footage?

All the people in this video are the leaders and chroniclers of the French channel W9.
The channel has proposed a TV program called "A la recherche du nouveau Michael Jackson" ("In search of new Michael Jackson"), an adaptation of Pop Idol.
