Breast Size Help
I am constantly confused when I'm reading a story, and people mention breast sizes (A, DD, E, etc.). I don't exactly know what breast sizes look like (yes, even after years of reading this sort of stuff) so I find myself having a hard time trying to picture them in my mind when reading. Does anybody have a visual guide I can refer to or something similar to that? Doesn't have to be NSFW, just something I can refer to when the story says a breast size.

Re: Breast Size Help
All I can tell you is that cup size does not mean breast size directly. A girl with C cups who is 4 feet 6 inches tall will seem a lot bigger breasted than a girl who is 5' 11" with C cups.
I honestly don't know how it works, but fair warning, prepared to do algebra. Alge...BRA... I'm sorry. |

Re: Breast Size Help
Exactly why bra sizes are a crutch that BE writers shouldn't be using.
That's one of my biggest pet peeves in BE writing, with the laziness of just punching out breast sizes in exact measurements and calling it a day coming in right behind. |

Re: Breast Size Help
Bra sizes are just psychotic and don't really mean anything.

Re: Breast Size Help
it's stupidly complicated. but the basic idea is that the first two numbers (e.g. 32) is the band size, which is the size of their chest without accounting for their bust and the letter following it (e.g. 32D) accounts for the bust. What complicates things is the system of sister sizes. For example, a 32D amounts to roughly the same breast volume as a 34C or a 30DD (in theory). So someone who says "I'm a double D " might not actually be that big, since a 28DD is equivalent to a 34B (which is average-ish).
Also worth noting that most women wear the wrong bra size, since most of the popular stores that sell bras just size people into mainstream sizes (i.e. 34s and 36s) because they don't stock the sizes that they actually need (i.e. 28s and 30s). Hope that helps. |

Re: Breast Size Help
Sad to say a huge proportion of the writers don't get it either, poppert56. "Then her tits expanded to 88DD!!!" Was written by someone
1. from where such things are measured in centimeters (Japan would be most prominent) 2. who likes their ladies way past chunky or 3. who is clueless EDIT: 4. who is using the statement as an example of crap BE writing. Last edited by BillPratt; 09-27-2015 at 10:35 AM. |

Re: Breast Size Help
The number ie 32 or 38 is the measurement of around the chest just below the breast
The letter or cup size is a measure of how much the circumference including the breast exceeds this ie. Trainer= +0 AA= +1" A=+2" B=+3" and so on It starts breaking down at DD vs E as the sizes above this are named more to distract the owner from the fact that these are starting to be the size of her head. Reactant is also right about the sister size thing, plus different suppliers shade their sizes slightly. So for example Marks & Spencer (UK No1 supplier of underwear) is more generous in their sizing as they cater for the more mature lady Vs Victoria's Secrets where the ego boost of an additional cup size is potential selling point Confused you are not alone 90% of British women wear the wrong sized Bra Frankly when writing try fruit as guide just stay away from bananas or star fruit unless you are extremely weird |

Re: Breast Size Help
I will keep this in mind when writing, thanks. Though, maybe bananas/star fruit may lead to some *interesting* ideas. Not sure what those are yet, but eh.

Re: Breast Size Help
I usually like to forgo all the hogwash and variance and do direct comparisons, basically what Akheter suggested. Though I prefer sports equipment my self.
