The Slingshot Effect
I wondered if anyone had anything on this, the idea that someone takes something or does something to make themselves taller, thinner, big breasted or more virile or so on, only to have it not only wear off but go completely in the opposite direction, a person who grew 7 feet tall suddenly shrinks, a guy who became more musclular finds himself turning into a woman. The reason I ask is I found this interesting clip I posted in Body Expansion but thought it might be an interesting sub-gern http://www.process-productions.com/f...ad.php?t=10151

Re: The Slingshot Effect
There's a good story on the Minimizer's site that uses this effect.
It's about a woman who takes a special growth gas to get taller, but after a few hours it reverses and she ends up small for a few hours. Then she starts taking them in succession... I'll link it once the Min's back up.

Re: The Slingshot Effect
Was that the story with the girl who played basketball, and shrank at the end of each game on the way home in the car and eventually became doll sized?

Re: The Slingshot Effect
In an episode of Pirates of Dark Water, a middle-aged maid creates a potion that makes her young again. But when it begins to wear off she fails to drink more, so she ages more and melts.
Also, in the Phantom comic book, there's a story called "Queen Samaris XII", about a beautiful but wicked queen who in her forty-somethings forces a witch to make her young and beautiful forever. 300 years later the spell is broken though, so she ages 300 years in a matter of seconds... That comic has been drawn twice, first in the 1960s (kinda awfully drawn) and then in the 1990s (looks great). |

Re: The Slingshot Effect
There's also this movie "Countess Dracula", which is a play on the Elisabeth Bathory legend.
The noblewoman kills virgins and bathes in their blood to regain her youth. However, in this movie she grows older and uglier every time it wears off. http://youtube.com/watch?v=SkxIRUjkVr0 |

Re: The Slingshot Effect
I especially like it when whoever's gotten enhanced gets cocky and acts all superior in front of people she has become better than. Then, when it wears off and goes into reverse, it is revealed to them all so she becomes humiliated. You reap what you sow...

Re: The Slingshot Effect
Reminds me somewhat of an old Tom and Jerry bit; the cat mixes up a bunch of poisons to kill the mouse, only it backfires and the mouse gets buff and super-strong.
It wears off and the mouse tries to mix up another batch, only for the cat to snatch it away. The cat drinks it and initially gets bigger and meaner-looking but then *pop pop fizzle* shrinks until he's no bigger than the mouse. The mouse knocks him on his back and *pop pop fizzle* the cat shrinks to half his size. One last smack from the mouse and the cat's turned bug-size, and the mouse chases him offscreen with a swatter or some such. I swear, I felt so bad for that cat sometimes... |
