New SW video ideas

As I was leaving the grocery store today, I found myself walking behind a young women; likely in her early to mid twenties with a fairly attractive and well proportioned body, but the thing that stood out most about her was the fact that she could have been no more than 4 ? feet tall. At the very same moment I saw another women walking across the parking lot that was more near my height (6 feet give or take). As I switched back and forth between them, I suddenly considered the fact that if the exact same clothing worn by the taller woman were to be worn by the shorter one, they would have been at least 3 sizes too big, what also occurred to me was the fact that both women had long black hair which would seem as if the women walking ahead of me could easily resemble a shrunken version of the taller women from behind, it was then I realized a brilliant idea for a new SW video.

While I am aware that this may be way out of reach for even some of the best armature SW movie makers out there, I thought I would share what I would do if I had the resources.

Picture if you will, selecting a tall model to star in the video and then finding 2 or 3 more well-proportioned models that all range in height from medium to really short, but are similar in body type and skin tone (similar hair would also be a bonus, if not possible, a wig can be used). Then simply select a simple outfit that would fit the taller model and a matching one of the largest size possible (high heels also recommended to increase height difference)

Phase 0 --

Film the first model (the tallest) sitting in an office-like environment or library and doing simple tasks that show the benefit of her height (grabbing a file or book from the top shelf, sitting high up in an adjustable chair, etc.). Also have various shots of parts of her body (arms legs torso) to establish a detailed ?before? image of the potential shrinking victim, I call this the pre-process shot. A sense of story can also be established by adding simple elements to the first few minutes (a male co-worker, or a shorter female co worker who is forced to use a stepping stool that the model tends to tease about her height, either of which may return later after the process is complete to further add to the story). For this video a story element would be a book about ancient voodoo magic that seemed to contain strange writings that she briefly reads and replaces on the top shelf.

Phase 1 --

Begin filming the second model (the 2nd tallest) wearing the same clothes as the first model; this model will also have the same body footage as the first model, but with nothing filmed above the neck. The footage will be of the model exhibiting body language indicating that she has taken notice the sudden looseness of her clothes (adjusting her longer sleeves, shuffling her feet in her larger shoes, etc.). This footage will switch back and forth with head footage of the first model that at this stage is not expressing any immediate concern.

Phase 2 --

Now add the next shorter model and repeat process from phase one but with the size change becoming more noticeable.

Phase 3 --

With the same model from phase two, switch out the clothing with the larger size to make the model appear even smaller and repeat filming. The adjustable chair can be lifted higher to make the models feet hang above the floor. At this point the first model?s head footage can have her really noticing the change and the body footage can have her struggling in the oversized clothes.

Phase 4 --

Now here where it gets tricky, the victim is to get down out of the chair and move over to the shelf to retrieve the book. I mentioned a wig might be necessary because the camera will follow the model from behind and switch between facial shots of the first model, so if both appear to have similar hair it will appear more believable. When the model reaches the now too high shelf, she is forced to use the footstool (a little sense of irony if the story included the shorter co worker). Once again, the footage will shift between the first models face now looking upward and the shorter model?s body reaching for the top shelf with one hand and desperately trying to hold her skirt up with the other.

Phase 5 --

By simply filming the model from phase 1 to 4?s hand move lower, and head footage from the first model expressing shock and fear, we can indicate that she is getting smaller again. It is at this point the last and shortest model?s body is introduced and the victim can begin letting her larger sized clothes fall off as she attempts to climb the shelves, once again switching from head to body.

Phase 6 --

The model?s hand reaches the book and takes hold of it when the view suddenly switches to her feet lifting up off the shelf indicating yet another size changing. The next shot would simply be the book, and whatever clothing the model had left on, falling to the floor in a heap. The camera would then be focusing on the clothes pile and unwound coat hanger can be slid underneath off frame to simulate movement beneath the folds.

Phase 7 --

Then at this point (depending on what video editing software is available) blue screen footage shot from a higher position of the first model emerging nude from under a large piece of cloth (similar in color to clothing) can be placed right on top of a shot of the clothes pile to give the illusion of a now shrunken model. Additional blue screen shots can be mixed with pictures of the floor to allow the shrunken model to venture beyond and maybe over to the book in an attempt to find a way to undo what has happened. The other story elements could then be added like the male co-worker or the shorter co-worker reentering the room and find the event as an opportunity to enact revenge on someone who once took pleasure in making other?s feel small.

The possibilities are endless.

This sounds like it would make an awesome clip, but finding the models would really hard!
also, possibly change the size of the set? like over sized books and chairs......

that would be a great idea but it would also be very hard to do

HOLY COW!!!! GREAT ONE!!!! We have to find someone to do this one. Maybe more than one can get together like a team up job to make it. I would pay BIG MONEY for that one!!!!!
