I need another "type" name for my characters, besides Bodyriders
Edit: There we go the thread is now complete you can reply there now.
Because generally I thought of Bodyriders might be the term for them, but I don't think that will work (it might have existed already too). Let me explain: There are always transformations where characters turn into other fictional characters that we know such as a woman to Becky the Bear from Tailspin or a woman to Rouge the Bat. Not to be confused with transformations into monster characters such as Pokemon and Digimon since there are more of the same monster regardless, unless they turn into the monster character that has a role in a particular story, such as a woman into Rika's Renamon (I think that has never happened before with women but more with guys in TGTFs) or a woman into Zoey's Glameow. This can also be counted in normal fictional stories anthro TFs where they become the made up fictional anthro or animal character. Any other transformation that involve monster, anthro, or animal transformations that don't have roles in the official main series, or fictional, don't exactly fit in my definition of Bodyriders, let's get back on track shall we? Basicailly, sometimes in these transformations into other characters go a little too far, in which the character that has become the fictional one has been brainwashed into thinking that they really are these characters and they just somehow "teleport" into whatever place they're in now (more like teleported in my friends body). Also, the concept that they have been human and somebody else once sounds completely ridiculous and crazy to them and persist that they are that character they've become (or rather "borned" to them). Unless hardcore, I mean really hardcore, evidence is present with them by that explaination of truth, they will continue to think that way, until the cure is found or ended up being stuck that way forever. These can also occur in specific monster character TFs that is only in the specific mindset of that character such as Ben300's Renamon TF story. Which is almost like the Krystal Fox Costume Transformation (Edit: found it now) where it ended where the woman who was wearing the Krystal Fox costume had her final changes made to her head when her memory of that of being a human was replaced by Krystal's memories and powers that she no longer recognized her boyfriend who had just witness that and thought he was some kind of alien instead of a long-time friend. Another type of TF that belongs in the Body-riders section is the possession transformations where the body begans to change to the accomadate the possesser's previous body. Hopefully in some cases the victim doesn't have her mind drastically changed to that of her possesser, meaning that the possesser literally rides in the body of the victim, just like that Arcanine Spirit. Chances are that the bodyrider is just riding on somebody else's body just to get to a certain place, why is technically varied on each of the possesser, since everyone is different and all including spirits. Though the possesser can still ride on someone else's body and not change their physical appearance at all. This is where my definition of Body-riders tend to shine, basically speaking as those who explained about Mental TFs before, when the mind is changed into the other characters, the new character sort of killed off the other one and has taken her place and is now riding in her body to do whatever "she" want. It doesn't really matter if the body between the two characters are different, it doesn't change the fact that the previous body had to changed to match the new owner of the body. Yet some of the bodyriders belief that their body is their own and refuse to accept the fact that they're really using somebody else's body instead. That is the definition of bodyriders that I have realized. I at first wanted to call my characters that but then I realized what bodyrider sort of meant as stated above. Non-bodyriders doesn't seemed to fit well with them and personally speaking, it doesn't just feel right. My characters does have the bodies that bascially belong to that fictional character, they may even look exactly like these characters, just like my characters in the (warning novice drawing alert) Xanadu X series, or just have some "minor" physical alterations to the original character's body just to tell the difference between them, just like Ginger who is technically bigger than Blaze and has her hair down unlike her. As much as it is tempting to categorize them as BodyRiders I doubt that will be the case for them as they did transformed into other character's bodies but they still have their own mind and the spirit (and by spirit I mean ghost) of the other characters are not "exactly" with them to fulfill some sort of plan. They're still basically the same people as they were before the transformation but they have just have to deal with using their bodies for the rest of their life (technically for Ginger) or journey (the entire cast of Xanadu X) for now. But what should I call these characters that have the fictional character's body but the fictional character them is not exactly with them in a very close kind of way (ghost or mind control by the way)..... Oh, and what should I call Sarah since she's also worried about Master Tigress's mind taking over her and making forget who she is, if it ever happened to her. (in which it did, in a dream, when specific circumstances are met). Last edited by jolem; 03-19-2014 at 09:24 PM. Reason: One of the links didn't work anymore |
