A few TFs in Elvira II - The Jaws of Cerberus

I like watching longplays of old adventure games (because they're usually more fun than havign to figure out the game's convoluted logic on your own), and I saw a few TFs in this video:

There's an ant disguised as Elvira at 1:23, a snake disguised as her at 2:50:50, and a succubus at 3:14:30. There's also a pair of female zombies at 3:17. I wouldn't suggest watching much else of the video, the game seems to be 80% comprised of the one thing I will not ever tolerate in a video game: mazes.

It's the final boss of Mystic Defender for the Genesis. It was a Peacock King game in Japan, but they stripped out the liscence for the USA release.

For a brief period of time it was possible to buy a youtube account that could make videos of unlimited length. It's no longer possible to get that kind of accoutn though.

Also say what you will, the guy is dedicated to posting complete playthrough of Amiga games. Plus there's no commentary, which makes this vastly superior to most Let's Plays.

Lets plays are better when they arent the youtube variety anyway. You rarely find good ones there.

you sure thats a succubus near the end though? I was pretty sure that was a piranha.

Re: A few TFs in Elvira II - The Jaws of Cerberus

Yeah, basically the only let's plays I watch are the ones from SA, or these amiga longplays, because only his guy is dedicated enough to do longplays of amiga games. Even the awful ones (read: most of them).

As for the TF the guide says she's a succubus, the house is filled with ghosts, zombies, and Dracula, so it's thematically appropriate, and the only way to survive the encounter is to cast courage on yourself first. While I've never encountered a murdurous piranha (of the fishy or womany varieties) in real life, I don't think that you could fend one off just by being brave.

Well only some variety of piranha actually eat meat anyway, so if its the non red belly variety you can fend it off with a zucchini which it would rather eat anyway.
