Hey, today I logged in to DA to find all the photomanips I've done flagged and needing a Model Release Form or something or they are deleted in 30 days. Does anyone have any experience dealing with their issue from DA, or know how to talk to them. All the images are either from DA stock pictures which and I've received permission to post them, requests from the rights-holder or posted freely on a bunch of different websites and image blogs. I don't make any money off the images and I use them educationally to refine my photoshop skill, so is there anything I can do to stop my stuff from being deleted after getting report bombed.

Honestly, I'd advise backing up all your manips, then hosting them yourself (on a domain through Domains By Proxy if you don't like getting death threats made by butthurt hyper-evangelicals). People are trying to make it better, but unfortunately, dA is rapidly slipping back into cesspool territory.

Hell, even Blogspot / Blogger is more lenient about it. There, generally speaking, if you say "I had their permission" and can show them an email, IM contact, or something else readily accessible, they'll drop the matter - that's if they bothered to pursue in the first place. All the uber-bureaucratic jackasses somehow backslid to dA, and now they get their rocks off pursuing complaints of alleged copyvios, which oftentimes aren't even made by the rightsholders.

What a sad lot.

Yea I just get the feeling some random person doesn't like extra curvy women, and reported all the morphs then the mod who also didn't like them said fuck it and okay-ed it. DA really does have awful moderators.

Screen cap the advice saying you were allowed to use the original photos (be they emails, or even DA notes making sure to include the email address/DA name of the person giving that permission) and upload them in the required fields for your images, DA accepts even that for valid permission documents.
