A little help
I'm working on a plot device for a commission and I'm not that great in conveying my idea.
I'm wanting to use a bracelet/necklace for its trigger but I need some help in HOW to get it to work in the pokemon story I'm getting done. Please don't get on to me for this needs to be in requests as it is not for actual product but ideas to GET finished product... |

Re: A little help
Girl buys necklace at item shop, thinking that it will help her catch more rare pokemon. Instead it transforms her into a pokemon.
It could have been advertised as "this magical necklace will make rare pokemon come to you" or something like that. She thinks it will draw pokemon to her with an aura or something, but instead it changes her into a pokemon and the male version of her new species is all she attracts. That help at all? Re: A little help
It does but the female is already a Pokemon so it's the male that it's affecting.
So any other idea would be appreciated. |

Re: A little help
Okay I like the idea for the evolution stones, but how could he come across it and what would trigger it to "activate" in a progressive manner as to not be "noticeable" till is reaches a certain point though is a question i'm now facing

Re: A little help
Drawing on my memories of the Pokémon animé series... it seems that evolution stones are usually kept in protective cases or bags until they're needed. What if it's not just to keep the stone safe, but to make it safe for humans to carry without causing a reaction? Your guy would, of course, disregard all safety warnings and just keep the stone in his pocket, or idly play with it.

Re: A little help
Sometimes coming up with an effective McGuffin that makes sense in the context of the rest of the story or art can be the most difficult part. I don't know enough about the Pokémon mythos to help you, unfortunately.

Re: A little help
A set of new stones are found that are similar to the mega evolution stones but they don't seem to have any effect on the Pokemon they're linked to i.e. growlithite, vulpixite.etc but a set of necklaces are found that they seem to fit in to. A professor asks for your involvement in finding out their secret, rest is self explanatory.
