What is the allure of growth/transformation?

Hey, noob thread yeah...
Today I was scouring the internet for an AP of Vicky from the Fairly Odd Parents (it happened in the movie Channel Chasers, she turns from 16 to 18, gets bigger boobs, hips) which in itself is funny and pathetic, but I came across this site: http://visibletime.ararchive.com/manga.htm

Now it didn't have what I originally searched for but I spent the better part of over 2 hours just looking at everything...and was really surprised to find whole genres of manga and more fans of this stuff.

I can't tell you when it started with me, it could have had something to do with my early exposure to Sailor Moon, but transformations and growth in cartoons and video games (Birkin in Resident Evil 2 comes to mind) have always fascinated me. God, I even get a little hard watching the most mundane and weirdest shit...in fact looking at everything at that visibletime site had me harder than I've been in weeks.

Anyways, from that site I found this forum, and I'm still surprised there are others like me. I don't plan on posting much but just looking, hence the username.

Yeah, sorry about the noob thread, but this is all coming so fast, finally realizing there's a genre for this kind of sick shit...

I started off being interested in transformation since I was a little kid. Werewolves and stories about people turning into dragons and mythical creatures always fascinated me.

Transformation wasn't a sexual thing until I hit puberty and I had a dream about being captured and transformed into a girl I saw in a Sports Illustrated swim suit edition. It started coming out more in high school, and once I got on the internet and started looking around it's grown into a more complete fetish. I'm fairly main stream in my tastes.

The transformation community in general is a pretty nice group of people. They aren't super creepy freaks that I was initially afraid they would be.

Agreed, it's not sick. TF, shrinking, growth etc doesn't exist so its not like it hurts anyone. That said, it is weird, and I think I've only told 1 person I have this fetish :P

I'm not sure how I got into this either, it's always been just kinda hardwired in me. I specifically remember reading one of those D&D Choose-your-own-adventure books as a kid where one of the "wrong" choices turned you into a giant.

This was way before puberty, I was in like 3rd or 4th grade, but I always liked that idea of growing more powerful and becoming a giant. It always stuck out in my mind for some reason and made me feel good. So its always been in me, dunno why.

Oddly, when I was that young I hated the idea of female growth. The ending to 'The incredible shrinking woman' with Lily Tomlin pissed me off to no end for some reason. That of course changed later on heh.

When puberty did come along things got strange. Getting hard while watching certain scenes in Alice in Wonderland had me freaked haha! At night I'd fantasize about myself and a woman both growing while having sex.

Thank goodness for the interweb showing me I was not alone. Now Im mostly into female growth, but I have to wonder if that's just a byproduct of that being most of what's available on the net. Probably that and I like to imagine myself growing, not some other dude.

I am not sure how I got on this fetish thing. It probably happened when I went temporaraly insane. (I am OK now, thank God. It was scarry.) For some reason after that I liked the idea of women growing and stuff. Odd, eh?

I had a knack for drawing and so I drew pictures of growing women. Then I moved and lost all my drawings. (Damn you, crappy French shippers!) I found this site a few months later. I thought I was all alone. Huh. Funny how things work out.

Does anyone know if that ever got translated? A few days ago at another board I think I saw a picture of it (something like "wow can't believe I just fucked my sister") but now I can't find it.

Any help?

I imagine that a lot of people here have some sadomasochism attached to their process. I'll admit that I have a little of that, I think we all do. But, its not a major part or even a requirement for it.

As far as what it alluring to us and not other people; that is one of those unanswerable question, in my opinion.

And the whole sadmasochism part? There might be some of that (I would be considered one of those, what with the love of "erotic exultations" likes gasps, whimpers, and crying out... but not screaming, oddly enough. It just kicks my protective urges into overdrive.), but its mostly, in my opinion, about being who you are with who your loved one wants you to be. A coupling of acceptance and of love.

Or it could just involve lots of painkillers, hormone treatments, alcohol, dangerous chemicals, and the proper devices to guarantee they stay in one place to learn what you should do with their lives....

I'm not really into transformation, I just use this place as a stop gap gts community.
Maybe its something about the emergance into power (or possibly the reverse for some transformations)? Like breaking free of the bonds society places on you (metaphyschically or literaly) and turning into something you associte with freedom, or power, or poessing (and therefore gaining) admirable attributes (like wolves being associted with freedom and standing alone or cats being carefree and independent), or maybe wishing those attributes on a partner, or living your emotions through them or something.
And I suppose the trasnformation process gives the feeling these things are happening RIGHT NOW, and theirs something dynamic about it.
Plus I think seeing a girl in a vulerable postion draws out our protective instincts and makes us feel less threatened.
What do you guys think?
