TF phone apps
There's these new "mask" apps which basically add like photoshopped masks to your face real time. They have a lot of animal ones too. I am seeing more and more of things like this. You can Take photos and even videos. Here's a random example photos from google image search of the MSQRD app, I do not know these people.

I always found it kind of weird how people'd make"demonificiation" and "possession" photo apps that did similar things, and when some fantasy or horror tv-show did a demonic transformation they would use that exact same technology. Old Doctor Who was always cheap, sure, but that's different from "I can literally buy this on the app store for a dollar" cheap.

Pretty sure these all actually stem from Snapchat Filters. I see them all the time now, especially the Dog one.

The first one is snapchat. A lot of people have uploaded their snapchat clips and photos with the filters onto instagram:
