Is there a problem with artist account on Transfur?

Just a question, is there a problem with the creation of an artist account on Transfur? I tried for month to subscribe but they alway give me the same answer (see the cotation)...

I know that I'm not the best juge of my art but I think that I'm more than good enought to be accepted. Do we have to donate or something to have an artist account? o.O http://sites.google.com/site/transfo...-de-tfancred-1

Dear applicant

Thank you for submitting your request for a Transfur account.

The Transfur account staff has completed reviewing your
application. Unfortunately we are unable to host your content
on Transfur at this time. In selecting accounts for Transfur,
we have attempted to select content that not only reflects
Transfurs aims & scope, but also maintains an exceptional
level of quality for our users.

We regret that our answer could not be more favorable, but a
limited number of accounts allow us to keep our bandwidth
costs low and provide high quality services for our users.

On behalf of Transfur, we would still like to invite you to
continue using Transfurs services and features. There are
many ways you can interact and be a part of the Transfur
community, without having an account.

With best wishes,

Regards
Transfur Account Staff

I imagine it has to do with not looking like arania or anime, as thats all that gets posted these days, I've found that odd for awhile.

It's a privately owned site and the owner prefers to only post works he likes and is pretty blatant about it; I wouldn't worry about it as an insult to your work or quality, the same thing happened to Banana of Doom until he gave up.

In my experience the owner prefers traditional media over digital work to the point that really weak pencil works end up finding home there before extremely polished photoshop works.

The best thing I can suggest it to either make friends with him or just not worry about it.

I've found that transfur really tries to avoid anything close to 'childlike' bodies/proportions and artist who draw very young looking characters. The girls you draw looks very young, and I'm sure the owner is trying to avoid any possibilities of being shut down by viewers thinking there is child artwork/child porn. Not to offend.

It's not about your skill as an artist, it's about whether the one guy running the site likes your stuff or not.

Just don't bother with it. Nothing to gain from being there anyway.

It's just the style you have. Like I said, no offense, but small petite bodies with small breasts and seeming short stature. Large heads in comparison to their bodies. Obviously anime also has that in common, but sometimes I find I like an artist's style and then find out OMG they're into some fucked up kid shit. I really like the style of some artists, but its hard to get 'child pron' out of my head when i look at their stuff. Personally, I don't see that with your art, but I could see it looking like 'on the border' artwork.

And of course, some women have small breasts and slightly larger-than-"normal" heads. But yeah, point taken, I can see how some any construe it as looking young.

I, for one, don't really see it as such. Then again, I can be notoriously bad at identifying physical details. *grumble* stupid ADHD/Asperger's Syndrome/non-verbal learning disability/whatever-the-hell-it-is... *grumblegrumble*
