Man to Dragoness

Though a bit of tg/tf, it seemed the better spot to put it than the tg bit, and hopefully within allowed rules of ladies only, given the tg, but here it is

Why is it always with the rape and submission at FA? Just sours the whole thing.

Personally I would have preferred more dragon and less anthro in the transformation, and would have replaced the "Old Man" with the knights greedy
power hungry squire, for a massively reworked ending.

However its a furry story in a furry website,so the rape/bondage thing is to be expected.

But that's just it- why is that the status quo? What is it about the furry fandom that lends itself so easily to that sort of thing?

What is with the TF communities attachment to forcedshifting that in essense is almost the same act as Rape? With any fetish or interest you will find attachments to some element of human behavior that can connect to other fetishes. You really can't say that "all furries are into bondage or rape", or just cause of the babyfur thing, you can't say they're all pedophiles. It's just that in a fetish community, when you're already doing something that breaks societal taboos, you're going to find that people are less likely to censor their other interests that fall outside the norm. I've seen far more sexism and rape scenes in TF stories than anywhere in the fury community; even the whole theme of Doc's Lab surrounds the idea of a mad scientist turning people (especially women) into creatures against their will (often into sex slaves in the process of some form). That doesn't mean that all of doc's is sexist, or any of the community members support rape; it's just the sexual fetish site allows them to explore the ideas uncensored.

Rape and Bondage are extreme forms of S&M, which all come down to elements of control in a sexual relationship.

Learning tolerance for other people's behavior as long as it does not take away someone's right is generally one of the more mature things you can do. Fantasizing about these things does not turn people into rapists, and honestly a lot of the authors would be horrified by the idea of actually committing it; it's just like violence in video games, fantasies people will live out because of some deficiency in their own life.

To be fair though you have to admit that you don't see the rape/bondage thing nearly so often in BE/WG/GTS/etc. sections as you do in furry/TF. I'l grant my collection criteria is far from scientific but I still maintain you'll see the submision and domination thing far more often when the subjects have tails than without.

Re: Man to Dragoness

Actually we should really start questioning the commissioners' minds in these type of things.

Well, I'm not blaming the artist- I know the whole "I was only following orders" mentality in work-for-hire- but it's telling that I never see these commissions involving people. It's still in the "furry community" group I talked about earlier, regardless of if the work is being commissioned or made of the artist's own free will.
