Trials in tainted space is an indiegogo(i think) funded game by the guy who make Corruption of Champions : http://www.fenoxo.com I would assume it was like CoC and be hard to play without turning into a wondering horror. That said at times might worth playing if like that sort of stuff.

Eh, you just have to play smart if you don't want to turn into a beast of many dicks. Mainly, don't drink/eat everything you find in a horrible demon infested world.

Until release Fen is providing updated builds for backers and the occasional free build for non-backers. After release, updates will be available to all for a year due to a stretch goal being met. After the year there will be a monthly subscription model where subscribers will get any new content a few weeks (not sure of exact timetable) before non-subscribers. So there will always be something free to play.
