Forgotten God (In-Dev BE-RPG)
After coding a bit in Ren'Py for the CGF Ren'Py Engine, I've gained confidence in being able to code a turn-based BE RPG.
TL;DR: BE RPG. Turn-based combat. Give me ideas. Initial ideas: You're a BE-God who has been locked up in the Void by your overjealous Pettanko-God sister, who envies your boobage abilities. After centuries of confinement, the world has turned into an over-religous place, where everyone is forced to adore the Pettanko God. In an act of undercover rebellion to the current regime, a feisty "cleric"* - Cedylla - performs a ritual that links both of you together, thus allowing you to use her as a medium for your owers. You're still very (very) weak due to the lock Pettanko-God has placed on you, however, with the help of Cedylla, you can slowly break out of your jail (and grant her more power) by collecting certain mytical items throughout the world - while Pettanko-God tries to stop you as much as she can. *Clerics would be the equivalent to a mage/soldier hybrid kind of profession in this world. (The gods won't have too much direct-world influence to keep them from being too overpowered in the story. They need to act through people and beliefs.) Cedylla is a young lady who is well-versed in both magic and combat. She lives her life hating the Pettanko Theocracy. She can't do anything about it until she finds by Deus ex Machina a book that tells about a "prohibited and secret" BE-God. With it, she performs a ritual in an attempt to contact this God, etc. Initially, I had in mind something akin to the Sonny Flash game. There is a lot of focus on cutscenes/dialogue (I'll use the Ren'Py VN code for this) and battling (I'll code the math in Python, then skin it with Ren'Py "Screens"). Breasts grow with level (because you infuse her with more unlocked power as you collect these "Mytical Items" and the "manifestation" of your power is boob mass.) , and during "Limit Break"-style buffs. Two main skill "paths": Magic and Combat. Magic has two "subpaths": White (Milk themed, healing, buffs, etc) and Black (???-themed, sacrifice, direct damage, etc) magic. Combat has two subpaths: Strength (Heavy armor builds/Warrior builds) and Style (Flashy Ninjas and Speedy Builds) Up to two "active" party members, up to three enemies on-screen (Max 3 v 3 like in Sonny). Equipment isn't bought from stores - Its "summoned" out-of-battle. A summoning screen will replace stores. Summoning costs some kind of magical currency. Summon equipment is all "magical" (and part of your "lost" cache of divine equipment) to explain thier non-battleworthy appearance. Summoned equipment examples: "Legendary Maid-Outfit", "Bunnysuit of Speed" or "Bikini of Supreme Defense". Graphics is a challenge. Renpy doesn't have outlining or stuff like that that Flash has, so BE'ing a boob graphic would have to be a "Zoom" of the boob pic. Makes me want to use cel-shading style graphics. Black magic...sounds like it might provide an avenue for inclusion of nekos and the like, or immobilizing enemies?

I make a cel-shaded image and an equivalent, but about 3% larger that is completely black. The black is behind the cel-shade, granting outlines. Then, when its scaling time, the cel-shade increases at X% rate whereas the black one will increase at a slightly slower rate, in such a proportion as to keep the outline thickness constant. Yay! Opinions follow.
Current settings restrict mutability. Better to develop gameplay first, story later. PROGRAM ONLY PROCESSES THAT YOU LIKE. Attempting to satisfy everyone is a daunting and difficult task that may wind up unviable, (e.g. integrating both SW AND GTS as core gameplay components) and it hinders progress to try to code stuff that you don't like. White Magic = Cowgirl Black Magic = Foxgirl (involves Illusions, Trickery, Titty Lasers) Strength = Catgirl (Obligatory Super Attack) Flashy (consider renaming to speed) = Bunnygirl. Personally, I dislike the concept of "classes". I prefer a more modular system with attributes that can be changed during gameplay. All characters start off flat, due to Pettanko-Goddess shenanigans. Progression through the game should result in BE for ALL females (all procedurally generated). Summoned clothing is hilariously fragile due to "magical girl in a hentai game" physics.

I'd say strength => Dogs/Wolfs and put cats in Black magic. Foxes are nice too, however, I might add a fox-accesories as equipment instead.
I was also thinking of having the character grow these ears when they use the skills in their tree a la Strike witches. Speaking of which, this game is going to be pantless too. Saves graphics and its sexier! Yep, no classes. I hate them too. Cedylla is a in-the-middle-of-everything kind of situation pre-game. Then you choose where to go with her skills and how. I agree with everthing else except that not eveyone will undergo BE. Only those willing to. The game as a subtheme of tolerance, so Pettan's and non-Pettan's should coexist. That could be interesting to address as a subplot. Maybe eventually another recruited follower of the BE-god gets too overzealous and you have to stop them... or maybe the BE-god forgives their sister, but has to convince Cedylla that coexistence is necessary and just. Things maybe start to get out of hand, but quick action reins it in before real harm gets done, lessons are learned, and anybody affected against their will (if that happens) is brought back to normal.

For Black Magic: LustPit (stun), Orgasm(Debuffs/Stuns enemies, but heals them. Can also be used on allies). For Strength: Strike (generic attack, scales off Str), Smother (Scales off level AKA Breast size), TsunTsun (defense buff) . For Speed: Grape assault (Nuke), Banggang (Summon ninja clones for more attack+evasion?). Lightning Thrusts (multiple small attacks). I don't know why I get so many rape puns in Speed skills. Fox Girls could also be like a Thief class rather than a magic Class. so youd could have like based on what I've seen in posts so far
Warrior = Wolf Girl Thief = Fox Girl Flash/Monk (monk might be best): Bunny Girl Black Mage Type: Cat Girl White Mage Type: Cow Girl (though maybe avoid udders, just make em be the bustiest). A new idea just now, for a Blue Mage type of character why not a Slime Girl. you know "Absorbing other people's abilities" another idea is maybe you can run into other gods that represent different proccess Types (Your the BE God so maybe you run into the Giantess god or the TF god), and perhaps they can lend you their powers in your fight against Pottenko god, so you can incorperate other process types on a smaller scale maybe as magic buffs or something Last edited by SdazVarence; 08-02-2013 at 05:51 AM. |

Again... I'm definitely not limiting one "race" to one "class"
Image you want a cowgirl fighter but all cowgirls are white mages. You're fucked. I don't want that. However, I could bias the stats of the races towards one type of build or another. I just want to avoid the "Every single cowgirl in this games population is. a. white. mage." A thief class might be cool, however, within the White magic/Black magic, Strength/Speed structure, they already fit into speed, no? Note: Everyone is pantless, a la Strike witches. Saves graphics and its sexier. Win-win About the gods: I was thinking of including two other gods who team up with you in your journey, a leg growth god and an ass growth god. Mainly because if everyone has almost the same leg graphics (because of the Strike Witches premise, and legs all look very much the same), it will be very easy to code. You just have to expand the x-axis or the y-axis accordingly - something ren'py does easily. You can then optionally choose the other growths when you level up, instead of having it all go into BE like normal. More of one expansion or another will not influence your characters combat stats. Skill points or something should do that. Maybe choosing more of one expansion than another will give you a different ending, but I wouldn't want anything more in-game influencial than that. |

Opinionated replies follow.
I dislike classes in the sense of "specializing". If I'm level 255 and I want to suddenly switch from emphasis on white magic to speedy attacks, I'm going to be disappointed if I can't. Should at least be able to switch between black/white magic, given they run off of the same stat. Would recommend against this philosophy in other games, but are no immediate gains from arbitrary restrictions in a single-player BE game. Furthermore its a BE-themed H-game. Few people here are going to hesitate to fill a world with huge tits. (or at least I wouldn't) If provided the option, I WILL nearly always select "LET THERE BE BOOBIES".
