Eloh there,

I really would like to purchase some stuff from their site but well I don't have a credit card and they don't offer paypal as an option. Maybe someone here has something to say there? I think adding paypal would be a nice addition.

I think PayPal not arbitrarily freezing accounts associated with adult material would be a nice addition, too. There's a reason they don't use those jackoffs.

Certain sites I've seen offer a nice little discreet "Please email for alternate payment options" with manual activation of your account. I mean who's to say you just didn't want to send an expansionfan admin a little gift

Agreed. I have had issues with PayPal in the past and so cannot accept payment* for adult comics.

Have you thought about using bitcoins? I've been toying with that idea for awhile since it's virtual money that pulls from a banking account to another. I think .65 of a bitcoin is like 3 american dollars and there are some that go directly into your bank account instead of just hanging out in a vault for a few days.

I agree PayPal is pretty much the pits but for a long time it was all we had.

Paypal and standard CC processing is tricky. You never know when they will decide what you are selling violates the ToS, cut you off, and KEEP THE MONEY. Not worth the risk without a few layers of abstraction between you and the card companies to blur the content.

CC companies are more lenient than Paypal, probably due to the payouts they get from porn, but as soon as you drift into nonconsentual material, vous etez fucked. Mind control's pretty much doomed. transformation doesn't have to be, but... Well, you know.

The downside to bitcoins is their value is all over the map day to day. Really hard to budget in the face of uncertainty. The prices will literally change daily.

I'm working on opening up a bitcoin account now and integrating an exchange API so that people can automatically gain membership when they pay with bitcoin. And since bitcoin is so volatile the coins can be traded every few hours for the equivalent in USD. I think it could work well.
