kinda mirroring the thread I did on chounyuu, since it became relevant with my last addition ^^

I'll post here links to my completed translation patches for piyokorota's works :

He pledged to translate a page each time someone who bought this work would make himself (or herself ) known to him.

Starting now, I'm also offering my services to buy from DLSite if they won't accept your credit card
- you need to create an account there (refer to my How to navigate DLSite if you don't know how)
- then send me the amount of your purchase + a 5% commission on my paypal account (foducool@hotmail.com). Sorry, I don't accept any e-currency
- then send me an email to this same address to send me your DLSite login, password and the list of your purchases, and the mail address of your paypal account if you're sending from a different address.

I'll connect to your account and use my credit card to buy them for you, you'll be able to access your puchases once I'm done.
Each transaction shouldn't take more than 24 hours. (unless I lose my internet connection, but then I should find a way to contact you shortly)

Those patches won't work if you don't have the original files (to be fair, you just need the right files in the right folders, but if you bought the whole thing, you shouldn't have to worry about that.)
All my patches, be it for a HCG set or a webnovel are used the same way : you need to unzip them in the directory containing the pics and html pages
when unzipping the patch, remember to also unzip the paths to subfolders (all images contained in the patch should be in a patch folder)

those patches use html and javascript to work, if you have an add-on preventing javascript to work on your web browser, you'll have to add an exception or disable it temporarily


patching for dummies

for a HCG set :
root folder (usually with a "readme" file) <-- you unzip the patch here
|_ folder with the text images
|_ folder with the textless images

for a HCG set containing multiple stories :
root folder
|_ folder with the 1st story <-- you unzip the patch for this story here
| |_ folder with the text images
| |_ folder with the textless images
|
|_ folder with the 2nd story <-- you unzip the patch for this story here
| |_ folder with the text images
| |_ folder with the textless images

for a web novel :
root folder <-- you unzip the patch here
|_ images folder
|_ ex images folder (clean versions)
|_ html pages folder
|_ sys images folder (such as thumbnails)

and don't forget to keep the pathnames when unzipping : all the images from the patch need to go in a "patch" folder
(which should be done automatically if you unzipped it right)

for the webnovels patches, the patches will work with firefox and internet exporer
for opera and chrome, you need to do some legwork :
- opera : you need to access opera:config, open the User Prefs submenu and check the Allow File XMLHttpRequest option, save then restart your browser.
- chrome : you have to add the "--allow-file-access-from-files" execution option to your chrome shortcut

I downloaded the files and followed the instructions... and all of the images are mostly blank with random patches of images and text. The hell?

you unzipped the file in the original work's directory ?
It might be for anormal fairy tails vol 1. In this case, the work contains 2 stories in 2 seperated folders, you have to put the patch in the folder containing the folders containing the pics

and to answer your question, it's that way because the patch images only consist of masks and text to be superposed to the original text images
if it's showing you this, it's because you didn't put the patch where you should have or the directory containing the text images is missing

hey, i placed the contents of the patch in the folder with all the pictures but im still just seeing a blank page with some scraps of pictures and text on it. what am i doing wrong?
(btw when do you think you will finish translating Three Little Sows?)

I have the original works and I moved everything to the right folders but I couldn't get it to work either.

No matter, though. The translations are good enough on their own, you can easily follow along having them side by side. Thank you, appreciate the work.

sorry for not answering, I had trouble when trying to change my email in my account...
the patch must be unzipped in the folder containing the folder with the images.
look at the first post, I can't think of any better mean to explain it...

calvinnvng : pineapples'r us are already translating it. If everything goes right, I think it should be done by next month.
[edit] they just send me the translated script, there's a lot of edit to do but it's only a matter of days, now. I should be done by next week.
And for the patch, I think you didn't unzip it in the right folder, refer to the first post

fredzor : it's no good if you can't view the translation superposed on the text images. look at the first post to be sure you unzipped where you should. and don't forget, you need to keep the folder paths when unzipping.

every images from the patch goes in a "patch" folder, the rest goes in the root folder of the HCG

it is still not working for me. by unzip do you mean just putting the content from the patch into the root file? because i put all the items in the root file but it still isnt working(white with patches of the picture and text)
