Transformation artist prices.

I see so many TF artists with different prices, from 5 dollar pics to a couple of 100 dollar.

But sometimes the result of the art quality are the same.

I say most TF artists are overpriced.

Re: Transformation artist prices.

what you fail to realize is that this is what some do to make a living. not to mention the time they spend on each piece.

Re: Transformation artist prices.

Actually every artist is underpriced since they can't make minimum wage off their art. Compare something like this which costs $100 http://www.deviantart.com/art/Battle...sion-349892037 and likely took 20 hours to sketch, ink, and color to someone flipping burgers for 20 hours at McDonalds. Which is more valuable? In our economy, they're equal.

Now some really good artists undersell themselves significantly, and these are usually talented college students who just want a reason to draw anyway. Hence why you have some amazing pieces going for the price of 2 beers at a restaurant; and people still say shit like "I can't afford that".

Right you are, good sir. Moved.

And saying an artist is "overpriced" is rather silly. Art is subjective. I might see an artist charging $100 a page and think their art is crap, while someone else might think it's a bargain. They charge what they charge; if you don't like their prices, find a cheaper artist (though you get what you pay for) or learn to draw your own material.

Re: Transformation artist prices.

An artist should price themselves based on what they feel the efforts of their services are worth. Or at least they should. Unfortunately that isn't really always the case. A lot of artists underprice their service because they feel that pricing too high will mean they will not get business at all. Because... well, people like OP who claim artists overprice themselves.
