Yeah, I remember spending hours on end feeding my girl BE pills. Her image wouldn't change, but the bust measurements would steadily go up and she would start commenting things like "Oh Father, my bust is quite large! <3" It's nice to know they've finally implemented images that go with the changes taking place. ;p

There is a website dedicated to the latest news on Princess Maker which includes a forum and such, so if you guys want to ask around there for some translations, that'd be your best bet.

Though I must warn you guys in advance.. The site sort of looks down upon people who view the game as something for "perverts" (read "us") so I wouldn't go into the forums asking "ZOMG HENTAI BEWBS!1"

Yeah, I played the unrealeased eggsoft translated version of 2.0 quite a lot- it's a decent game- but one of the things that gets to you are the unrealistic standards of physical beauty. The girl is frighteningly thin when she's 'healthy', and when she begins look normal she starts complaining about how fat she is and her clothes stop fitting. I've never really figured out if the game's actualy body measurements are absurd or just the graphics associated with them.

Also, there's the small matter of the fact that by far the most effective way to increase your daughter's 'sexyness' stat (helpful for attracting husbands, among other things) is to get her repeatedly raped. That's just wrong!

Huzzah! They're back in the Princess Making groove! I need to find a way to obtain 4 and 5 (got 3 on Dreamcast). I hear 4 is getting a PS2 discount release in Japan this month, now I know why! XD

Also good to see the art is looking alittle more classic Princess Maker. PM4 just looked too generic.

As for translations? PM2 was actually an official translation that was never released due to it being a DOS game in 1995. There are, as far as I know, no fan translations of the other games.

You're correct. The general premise, I believe, is that you're a guy that ends up with a little orphan girl, and you set about raising her. Depending on how you do so dictates personality and aspirations, as well as who she ends up marrying. Which can include you, if you really want to get uncomfortable.

Yea, same thing happens in the third game. I was able to play the Chinese version of the third game a while back (I've since lost that version), but they added to the fact that you can start out as three different "Jobs" This helps dictate the amount of money you get each month, and how the personality of your girl develops. If you start out as a merchant, you would get a good home with steady money, but your girl will become a spoiled brat. However if you start out as a priest, you get very little money, and your girl will be more sentimental (I think). Plus each year, they had different contest, such as a painting contest, dance contest, beauty contest, etc. and rate how you are doing in each category.
