Melty Blood/Tsukihime GTS

The girl "Tohno Akiha" turns giant when her "loyal" maid Kohaku injects her with a drug which Kohaku calls the "Makikyuu X".

The characters are from the melty blood visual novel game.
Some of these characters were adapted into the tsukihime series.

Melty blood has been adapted into various 2d fighting games where giant Akiha is a playable character.

heres a gameplay clip:

Now I have no idea when this event occurs in the story but according to the translator notes of tsukihime doujin that was posted in the SW section recently, the maid Kohaku was possesed by a vampire Tatari whos a villian in the series.

I found some pics from a doujin that feature Giant Akiha as you can see.

Right now theres a tsukihime, melty blood and melty blood 2nd act manga.

I have read through melty blood manga so I`ll be checking out tsukihime and melty 2nd act.

Nah, she`s just a tsundre.
She`s the head of the tohno family and is very overprotective of her older non-blood related brother.

She scolds him to hide the fact that she loves him.

To which Tohno shares his name with another kid who came to the household. Then, things get complicated~

So in the meantime, here's some Giant Sion. Unfortunately, I can't read japanese for shit, so I have no idea what manga this one is from. Nor do I know if Sion was happy about where Shiki saw. :C

TR: Do it for me!
TL: Shiki! To me, understanding such a situation...
BR: Hang in there, Shon! You just have to wait until the effect of the medicine from Akiba ends.
BL: Don't look up please!

Linear where did you find that pic?

Also are you sure that Sion was the one that grew? maybe the others shrunk.

I think Shion did like it, her character developed feeling for him in the offical manga.

I'm not sure which would be more awesome.......

But for some reason I'm hoping for it to be shrinking

Re: Melty Blood/Tsukihime GTS

I just finished reading the latest translated chapter of melty blood 2nd act.

Right the entire first season of the manga has Tatari as the villian, near the end of the first season Kohaku trapped Akiha in a trap door.

The second series has Shiki(main male) coming back after defeating Tatari from first series to find that Kohaku and the other maid still being effected by Tatari.
Kohaku and the other maid trap Shiki and another girl in the trap door and they`re trying to solve this mess.

The manga seems to be still running monthly with the 7th chapter being the latest.
Theres a chance Kohaku will use her needle to turn Akiha into the giant Akiha we know since Kohaku is now "the enemy"

I`ll read the tsukihime manga next week or someone could read it and post if theres any process in there besides the vampires.

In the mean time, I`m interested in the image that Linear posted and also the 2 doujin pics I found.
It be a great if someone could find out where they`re from.

Also I agree with you liveordie83 I prefer it to be SW and judging by the situation and design it seems more likely to be shrinking.

Re: Melty Blood/Tsukihime GTS

Lol, I thought about trying to sort you all out on this properly for a while, but then realised it would take too long.

Long story short: Tsukihime, the visual novel, NOT the manga (which is an abbreviated/abridged adaptation of the visual novel) comes first. There's no process, it's a very serious, dark horror/psychological thriller and vampire tale. There are five routes or storylines with complicated characters you could write essays about. People have.

Then you have Kagetsu Tohya, which is the HIGHLY more humorous, but still relatively serious-minded second volume. Still no process, involves all the characters.

Then there are the (to date) four different incarnations of the Melty Blood series of fighting game-visual novel hybrids, which are the "3rd volume" of the Tsukihime part of the Nasuverse. In order, they are: (1)Melty Blood, (2) Melty Blood Re:Act, (3) Melty Blood: Act Cadenza, and the JUST released (4) Melty Blood: Actress Again. Although most of the story in Melty Blood is relatively serious as well, there is ONE joke route in the games that drops all intents at seriousness, turns into parody, and has Kohaku (the crazy maid) inject Akiha with the Makikyuu X to parody the boss fights with Apocalypse/Onslaught in the Capcom crossover fighting series. The idea is that Akiha, Shiki, Sion and the others are trying to stop Kohaku and The Night of Wallachia/Tatari, Kohaku injects Akiha with Makikyuu X (a drug she invented to enlarge produce and stop world hunger), and then once Akiha is gigantic and monstrous she blackmails her saying that if she doesn't help her stop the others she doesn't get the shrinking agent antidote. Akiha is a rather violent, jealous, somewhat crazy tsundere type to begin with, so this doesn't help matters.

There are a couple of other doujin that run with the Giant-Akiha joke, but other than that it and nothing like it officially happens in the series again. I-Raf-You, the same circle that produces those GTS/SM visual games has done a Tsukihime doujin itself that entire features around sizechange.

It's a shame you're getting into it backwards ChaCha, as I would HIGHLY recommend starting with the original Tsukihime novel (not the manga). Actually, I would recommend starting with Kara No Kyoukai (the 'beginning' of the Nasuverse), and then working your way through all the Tsukihime volumes, and THEN moving on to Fate/Stay Night if you like that. Which, by the way, my long delayed comics project revolves around.
