Super Dreadnought Girl 4946 (c.28)
Greetings, Don't know if anyone around here's been reading this manga since the eponymous girl has always been a giantess and doesn't grow.
For those of you unfamiliar, it's a wonky shounen where the Earth was invaded by alien/youkai things decades ago and every war and conflict since then has been the internationa government black ops and MIBs covering up us REALLY fighting the aliens. One of our chief weapons are Category-D's, which are basically giant monsters. One of these is Eimiya Mana, a poor, doofy, lonely girl who was fused with a Category D as an infant, rendering her the titular almost-50-meters tall. She accidentally meets and falls in love with Makoto, your typical hotheaded shounen manga lead, who has powers of his own, and they have goofy romantic high school hijinx with their other psycho classmates and characters while fightan with aliens. When Mana eats Makoto's "soul" (which basically just involves her eating his body, I.E. vore, she spits him out later), she can power up herself or others' abilities. Shit has gotten real now as the manga approaches its conclusion, the MC is looking kind of dead, and it looks like losing is a possibility, so to make his death worth something, Makoto tells the increasingly despair-laden Mana (she's had a pretty hard life all things notwithstanding) to eat him for real. She does so reluctantly, miserably...and expands by a power of 100 to 4,946 meters (almost 3 miles exactly) to apparently kick the shit out of everything not friendly to them. There wasn't really any process sadly, but seeing as she's just grown beyond the cloudline and she's basically the female lead, I'm curious to see how anything poses a threat to her now. Plus, I don't think it's going to end bittersweetly, so... |
