EDIT: I'm going to try something new here. I'm going to use this first post as sort of an index to the story. Not that there's been an onslaught of comments, but just to make sure that you can find your way.

And in case you're wondering...I keep the posts separate as a way for me to see when and where I did which parts exactly and as a way to keep track of what happens where.
