The reason Beast Wars is so good is because it stays in the Canon universe of Transformers. The other Saturday morning renditions that have appeared after, I don't even know which is which. Umm...yeah. Hate to break this to you, but just about everything that's been released for Transformers since its inception is considered canon...they're just not all canon with each other. Except in Japan...and that's just a holy mess.

Which is probably why you think most of the other TF series are a mess...of the five Transformers programs seen on US TV since Fall 2001, four were primarily produced over in Japan.

If it helps any, Robots in Disguise, Armada/Energon/Cybertron, the live-action movie, and Animated are all in separate universes from the original cartoon/ Beast Wars/Beast Machines.
