Re: Mistress Taylor Presents BE Updates
I don't do a lot of posting because frankly I don't really like talking about this sort of thing because I find it a more private matter, but I do occasionally speak up and when I do I like to think I put some thought into what I say.
First and foremost I have to state my comment on the criticizing of Taylors work. I feel that it is very important to remember the difference between complaining, criticism, and constructive criticism. Complaining is simply stating displeasure, saying "This sucks." That is never helpful. Criticism can be helpful because criticism at least targets what does not work. "That guy talking for 10 minutes didn't work." Finally constructive criticism is taking criticism a step further and suggesting not only what was wrong, but what you would like, what you expect, and what you think could work. "Extend the beginning expansion a bit to give us more of a tease" is an example. Now I should also mention, this is a PUBLIC forum, where the topic is BE and transformation fetishes in general. People have every right to criticize a product, especially one they paid for. Would you go on a Star Trek board and say to anyone who complained about the new movie "Hey if you didn't like the Star Trek movie, don't watch it and shut up!" If so you are missing the point of discussion. Discussion without free review of the negative aspects of something is nothing more than a lame ego stroke of a product. Of course positive comments should be utilized as well, but to be actually useful, you have to let it go both ways. Granted, trolling can happen, but in those cases you should simply call them out, and not by saying "you shouldn't say that!" but instead by engaging them. "What did you think sucked? Because I liked it!" or "If you didn't like that part, what do you think would have worked better?" and of course there is simple flat "I don't agree, I think that this worked" and that is all fine and good, but the thing I rightfully hate is when someone is simply told "You can't say that!" as a knee jerk reaction. It simply makes you out to be the bigger fool because if you cannot engage or otherwise debunk something and simply try to cover it up, it is as bad as a confession saying that you know this is a problem, but are in denial about it or just want to cover it up. When you make a public product, such as they do, they are going to be held to public scrutiny, and they should expect that. Now they do have a right to simply ignore us or even stop making the product, but seeing as how most of us are continual paying customers, they probably won't. We should be responsible and be as constructive as we can, but frankly they need to have a bit of a thick skin and not see negative comments as nothing but complaints and bad feelings, but instead opportunities to figure out where they can improve and keep their customers. Now that I have that out of the way, I have given a bit of thought to the clips of late you have released and would like to take the time to engage you in what I think can improve and what needs to improve, and hopefully some of my ideas on how to improve it. Of the 4 recent clips I bought I liked 2. I bought Slow for a Saturday Night, Taylor's Mind Control BE, Bella (7 vials), and the Nyomi Growth Clip. The one I liked was the mind control one and the Nyomi Growth clip. Believe me when I say I wish most sites had this good a track record, but I digress. Lets start with why I didn't like Slow for a Saturday Night. Well let me surprise you by saying I did like a lot of it. In fact I have to say a certain portion of it was real quality work. The ambiance was pretty cool and the sound effects for the perking breasts were great. In fact I was very well enjoying that part of it, up until the part where she suddenly went "They are getting so big, I like it!" This was bad for pacing reasons. You shifted gears from 2nd to 4th without the clutch. The reason I liked the scene was it was subtle but noticeable growth. And the actress was really getting into it, as far as her expression showing signs of disbelief, first shruggint it off as her imagination then dawning comprehension, followed by her questioning what was in the drink and an accusing face at the person serving it. THAT, was quality. Then suddenly the woman went from a D cup to what must have been a G cup or higher and talking about how she loved the expansion. It was as if a large scene was cut for some unknown reason that was the inflation between the D cup and G cup, and there was where she figured it out and accepted it. Believe it or not, that is important. Now I understand if you had too much time already in the shot, but that leads me to the next point. The beginning. Now that was a pretty accurate portrayal of a conspiracy nut ranting about things he clearly had no idea about and read on some stupid web site, and the actor portrayed that well. So why did people hate that part of the movie? Because we don't like listening to those guys in the first place! More to the point, it was unrelated. It didn't set up the character, at least not as far as the expansion goes, it was irrelevant to the whole expansion scene. Do not get me wrong, I am not against using speech and back story and setup for characters, but keep it related to the expansion scene. For example, if the guy had beeen talking about his job and about how his medical lab had been working on hormonal growth or some such which could be used to make leaps in growth of plants and animals for foods, or even better "My lab has even begun working on a new hormone that will make plastic surgery obsolete." That would have been an excellent tie in. Speaking of tie ins, that brings me to the next point concerning Bella/The 7 vials. Exposition is, in fact, a very useful tool for fantasies such as this. It makes the whole thing feel more real. The 7 vials seemed so promising. Even it's NAME had more plot ideas swimming in it than most others which just said "Daphne loves expansion" and such, so instead it looked like it would be a real story up and including the introduction. I liked the introduction. Maybe others didn't but to me, it was a little too long, but not by very much for me. It made me feel like this was going to be a real story, where we found out what the 7 vials do. Instead we actually get LESS story than the rest of them. In the rest normally someone buys a get boobs quick type item or finds a magic wand or some such. This one went sort of like this: 1) "Hi Taylor I'm here" 2) "Hi I left some water. Sit down and drink it!" 3) "Okay!" *drinks* 4)*boobs grow* 5)"My boobs are growing!" 6) "I like how my boobs are growing!" 7) Repeat lines from 5 and 6 over and over. Again, there were some things I liked, the shots weren't horrible and the subtle use of fisheye to show growth was a nice touch and well pulled off, but that scene lasted for 4 minutes and was at best a minute's worth of material. She repeated the same things over and over as her boobs barely showed much sign of expansion. The actress just was not good at making it work. Now we have seen it work before by having nothing but expanding breasts and the actress talking about how she loved it, but this actress did not sell it. Now when Taylor did it, it worked beautifully, because she had a pretty good gift to improv it and make it feel like it's what she wanted. (I still laugh when I see her go "Pinch pinch pinch! Okay I'm not dreaming") Again this actress clearly was not into it and it felt forced. Now that was bad, but you can't necessarily make an actress act great if she doesn't have the skill, but what was missing was, what were the 7 vials? Was there any exposition? It was never even showed that one of the vials was in the water (Which I am completely guessing is what happened). I am about to give you my wholesale suggestion and explanation so you can maybe understand what we want and hopefully this will help keep and even expand (pardon the pun) your customer base. The breast expansion lovers tend to fall into one of 2 categories. The first are the inflation fans. Those that love expansion, and generally those aren't limited to the breasts. Ass, body expansion and inflation, they tend to love it. The other is transformation fans. These are people who live to see someone become something else, smaller, bigger, taller, shaplier, etc. These are the types who probably enjoy your growth clips and your muscle expansion clip. Some fans also fall into both categories and will take either. I personally fall into the latter category. Now if you want to hook in the lot of us, you will have to remember a few nice things. 1) Don't just start it all off at the drop of a hat, lead us into it. For many the transformation is something of a tease, watching the clothes slowly shift and the bits start to leak out are examples of things we love to see. The original Taylor growth clip was an excellent example of this. It might not have had a plot, but you saw shoes tighter, necklaces tighter, buttons bursting, belts being pulled apart, etc. This should apply to everything. The more interaction the better. 2) A reason for whats happening helps. It gets truly immersive if there is something at least somewhat plausible causing it. You have done this many times and I applaud it. It isn't a necessary step, but it is helpful and it is why we were so looking forward to the 7 vials. If you are strapped for a plot, try reading up on a few transformation stories. http://www.overflowingbra.com/ this is a great resource (Though I suggest using the search option to weed out stories you might find a little disturbing) Hell one of the biggest favorites fr this sort of thing around here is a movie called "Mood Boobs". Google the trailer to see what it is about. It had a plot. Granted the plot was pretty shallow, but it was interesting. The classic transformations stories are great references for idea, think the wolfman, Dr. Jekyll Mr. Hyde, even vampires, etc. With some minor changes these can become transformation stories. And feel free to make some things up, they don't exactly have to be historically accurate. You could explain that you found the lost necklace of Cleopatra that gave her her great beauty and assets. Or the lost scepter of Imahotchick, the greatest sorceress beauty ever. 3) Multiple transformations are well loved here. I don't mean two sets of tits growing, though that is nice as well, or the same tits growing twice. Instead, you can really make your work stand out a bit by including other transformations in there that add to the experience. This may be me, but I am a fan of more than just breasts growing, or just growth period. My personal favorite is not just breast growth, but increased beauty. As an example, you can have them drop their glasses, their hair change color, or even have a sudden change of attitude. My personal favorite, and this may sound weird, is wight loss. A fat woman becoming slim and hot while having a nice set of boobs on top of it or a woman with a fat flabby ass turning into a nice round one. On possible reason for this could also be their age regressing, fountain of youth may have extra benefits including extra cup sizes along with youth, and becoming horny as hell to top it all off. If you want I'll even give you some suggestions for possible 7 vials themes that could work with all sorts of things. I think you might find your actresses working a bit better if they felt their plot was a bit more laid out. Not that most of them need it. really the one thing your site has above and beyond most others is a great set of actresses, Taylor especially. 4) Keep everything related to the theme. Let's not have another rant like we did with Saturday Night. Everything that is stated should in some way trace back to what is going on. That is pretty much all I have to say. If you want me to expand on any point, feel free to ask. |
