I should have written "customized". RawArt's Dog World is what I used as a base fur the fur in this comic. I kept the specular and displacement maps and monkeyed around with filters to make a new texture map. For partial fur coverage I do two renders, one with fur and one without, and in post use a mask layer to paint the fur where I think it looks good.
