No, that's not it; the story I'm talking about isn't a master PC story. The main character is not in high school, she works in an office. She was in a part of the office building that was under renovation when she inhaled some dust which cursed her. There was another bit about the building owner saying/thinking something like "just the other day I was complaining about how slow and lazy the construction workers were, but then they finished it up in just two days!".
