Growing Guest (furry story and images)

I usually knew most of the folks who showed up to these little parties, but this person was new. Stood out a good deal, too, what with the shock of bright red hair above their head. And their height! They were standing and chatting with Karen, and you almost NEVER see anyone shorter than Karen. Not naturally shorter, anyhow.

And oh geez, they were standing and chatting with KAREN? I mean, she means well and all, but she's such a gossip. I really hoped the newcomer didn't get the wrong impression about folks from listening to her. I saw their gaze follow Karen's pointing finger over to Aaron in the corner and knew EXACTLY what story she was telling them.

And wait, were they getting taller? I KNEW they were shorter than Karen when I noticed them, but now it almost seemed like they were straightening up after slouching. No, they HAD to be growing. Did someone beat me to spiking the punch with growth potion? Wouldn't be the first time, I guess.

But no, it was just the newcomer growing. And if they noticed, they didn't let it show. Neither did Karen for that matter, and if SHE'd noticed, the whole room would have heard of it by now. What was going on?
